受信者 Dogbreath150 :One of my ancestors was birched by order of a court in Birkenhead, it had no effect whatsoever as he was up to his old tricks again within a month or two. I've no idea what being "naked and tied down on a bench from the old man" was supposed to achieve apart from it being weird.
